Mossgiel Organic Farm has entered into an exciting new collaboration, this time with the local football team.
As part of their vision to support the community in more ways than one, Mossgiel Farm is now the official sponsor of Mauchline United AFC.
The farm has so far sponsored Mauchline’s away strip for the team when they’re at games and are helping to get their lawnmower back on the go to ensure the pitch is spot on for training.
They’ll also be supplying milk for the players at home games.
Mossgiel Farm said: “When he [Farmer Bryce] was growing up, it felt like every second or third person his age played in the Mauchline team.
“Today, there’s little support for people of any age to play the game in our village other than the hard working and passionate team turning up every week when they can to support each other.
“So, along with other local businesses we decided to get involved and help out where we can.
“We will work together to search out opportunities for upgrading equipment and the park changing rooms with our council and other funders and we’ll be working with the team to explore options on getting local children back together to start a team.”
They added: “We’re delighted to be able to support and be part of our local community.”
Mauchline AFC said: “The club would like to thank Bryce Cunningham and all at Mossgiel Organic Farm for their support of us in the upcoming season in the form of new away strips.
“The club relies on the support of the local community to survive and really appreciate the collaboration with Bryce and Mossgiel.”
