A male driver has been taken to hospital after the lorry he was driving crashed on the A76 at Kirkconnel this evening (July 29).
Around 5pm, emergency services attended the scene of the crash. The male driver was taken to hospital for treatment.
Photos taken at the scene appear to show the lorry completely tipped over on its side.
The road was closed while crews were on site but has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5pm on Thursday, 29 July, police were called to a crash involving a lorry on the A76 at Kirkconnel.
"Emergency services attended and the male driver was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered and has since reopened."
