Two men have been arrested after drugs with an estimated street value of £350,000 were recovered from a property in Lugar this week.

At around 9.30am on Tuesday, July 27, Proactive Crime Team officers searched a house under warrant in the village.

Officers recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be Cannabis with an estimated street value of over three hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£350,000).

Two men aged 29 and 33 were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

They were due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, July). A full report has been forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

Chief Inspector Nathan Calderwood of Ayrshire Division said, "We know that our communities are concerned about drug dealing and we are committed to tackling the supply of drugs"
