A CUMNOCK woman who used a vulnerable victim’s bank card while pretending to be her is now awaiting sentence for the offences.
Caitlin Gibson, 23, appeared in court for three charges of fraud by electronic means and one charge of theft last week.
Gibson of Dalgliesh Avenue, Cumnock, used a bank card via ATM in the victim’s name while pretending to staff that she was the card’s owner on November 23 back in 2019 at Tesco Extra, West Shaw Street, Kilmarnock.
The complaint states she induced them to then obtain £250 by fraud. The next day at the same store Gibson then bought £300 of goods by fraud.
Presenting a bank card to Barhill Stores, Barhill Road, Cumnock by ATM on November 26 the victim’s name while pretending to be the owner to obtain goods worth £250.99 by fraud.
And on December 2 Gibson then stole a quantity of cash from Elderslie Crescent, Kilmarnock.
Sentence was deferred for Gibson to be of good behaviour until next year.
