The team at Auchinleck Connexions have recently taken the time to reflect on all the things they achieved last year – and all of the activities they managed to organise for the community.
During the Summer of 2020, the team distributed over 700 Garden Protectors Activity Packs to local children. The activities encouraged recipients to be more connected with nature – a fairy house, cress head, bird feeder and bug hotel.
To reflect on the success of the project, it was featured in a ‘Film of Action’, which was created in partnership with Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT).
Following the success of the packs over the Summer, the team launched Autumn Activity Packs on Fun Palace weekend in October. Throughout the year, they have been offering benefits support and money advice. Despite restrictions limiting the amount of face-to-face meetings, the excellent service has been offered over the phone. Despite being forced to cancel events, the team have worked on plans which they hope will go ahead in 2021.
