Auchinleck Community Development Initiative (ACDI) got creative as they took part in a worldwide Fun Palace event during the weekend of Saturday October 3 and Sunday, October 4.
Since 2017, the ACDI team have been sharing creativity and culture in the community at an annual event.
However, restrictions this year meant they decided to take their activities online instead.
The team featured on Fun Palace TV, ran by Fun Palaces Scotland.
Their Saturday session reflected on the Garden Protectors’ Activity Packs they created and distributed during the Summer.
On Sunday, the theme was creative hand lettering.
Each Fun Palace celebrates the unique skills and passions of local people – run by, for and with the local community.
Since 2014, a total of 1758 Fun Palaces have been made across the UK and worldwide by over 40,000 local people (‘Makers’) with 560,000 people taking part.
This year was the seventh annual Fun Palaces weekend event.
Fun Palaces create events that bring together arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities – but above all people – to work together, create together, have fun together.
In doing so, they connect our own communities, from the grassroots up.
