The Chief Executive of East Ayrshire Council published pictures of the much-anticipated £69 million Barony Campus ahead of secondary students moving into the new building on October 26.
Fiona Lees' pictures, taken on a tour of the campus with Depute Chief Executive Alex McPhee yesterday (Tuesday, October 6) showcase some of the features of the campus and give parents and students an advanced look before the opening of the first section of the campus.
The campus is split into seperate schools for different ages of students, with The Robert Burns Academy being the first to open.
Phase one of the opening will see students attend The Robert Burns Academy from Monday, October 26.
Phase two will see the opening of the Cherry Trees Early Childhood Centre, Hillside School and Lochnorris Primary School and Supported Learning Centre and is not anticipated for another month yet. The plan is for students attending these sections of the campus to begin on Wednesday, November 18.
Students at both the Cumnock and Auchinleck academies are attending school in their current buidlings for the last time today (Wednesday, October 7) before the big move later this month, which will see students from schools across East Ayrshire brought together in the super-campus.
