With schools going back last month amidst coronavirus fears, teachers have had to be inventive with how they teach their students.
St Patrick’s Primary School in Auchinleck have been rising to the challenge by holding classes outdoors in the open air and the kids seem to love it.
The school was provided a tent by the council’s Learning Outdoors Support Team and have put it to use for classes of all ages.
The Learning Outdoors Support Team seek to encourage schools and educators to conduct as much learning outside as is possible by improving school and teacher capacity, competence and confidence outdoors.
Staff at St Patrick’s have also been utilising their large playground, on which, the pupils have been having Maths sessions, including activities such as making clocks to learn about time.
