GLENAFTON Athletic manager Craig McEwan has already set his sights on their next challenge after losing out to Auchinleck Talbot in the Ardagh Cup Final.
The New Cumnock side head north this weekend, to the Princess Royal Park in Banff, where they take on Deveronvale in the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
McEwan wants his side to do things the professional way to give them the best chance at progressing.
The Glens boss said: “The great thing about football is you’ve always got next week to try and rectify the wrongs of this week so we’ll be looking forward to that.
“It was a very tough contested game to be honest with you.
“We always looked like the team that were the more likely to try and do something.
“We came out the second half and we have the best two minutes ever where we crash the woodwork twice and then we go from that to losing a goal which kills me.
“I thought for the most part we were the better side but there’s big things happening at this club in terms of what’s happening in the coming weeks.
“We are away to Deveronvale so we will go away on Friday.
“We’ll go up there, stay Friday night, prepare properly and then we’ll go and give it our best shot on Saturday.
“I’ve had a couple of reports on them and someone watched them on Saturday as well.
“It’s a wee bit of a trip into the unknown to be honest with you.
“We’ll do as much homework as we can. We know, if we play, on our day we can cause anybody a problem and we are quietly confident that if we go about business the right way, we can do well on Saturday.
“We just need to learn from today, reflect upon it and go again.”
