The main road through Mauchline is currently restricted due to a crash, according to the Traffic Scotland website.
An update on the site said that the A76 through Cumnock Road and Earl Grey Street is slowly moving due to an accident.
North and southbound traffic is said to be affected, with motorists being advised to travel with caution.
Emergency services have been in attendance at the scene.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
